What is New in the 2026 NS6090
The new NS6090 keeps the same modular footprint as the rest of the NS Series, so it drops into existing facility layouts seamlessly. The changes are focused entirely on internal capacity:

For comparison, the previous-generation NS6090 had a 30.5 × 22.2 × 7.7cm tub — meaning the 2026 version offers nearly 8x more interior volume. This is now the largest single-tub option in the NS Series, sitting alongside NS3015, NS3022, NS6030, and NS6045 in the universal NS frame.
Who Is the NS6090 For?
The expanded NS6090 is designed for breeders working with mid-to-large reptiles that need more horizontal floor space than a standard 60×45 tub provides:
- Adult ball pythons in active breeding programs
- Sub-adult boas and carpet pythons
- Larger colubrids like bullsnakes and indigos
- Mid-sized monitor lizards under enriched setups
- Tegus during their juvenile-to-adult transition
Because the NS6090 uses the same 97×61.9cm rack frame as the rest of the NS series, you can mix it with smaller NS-series tubs on the same rack column. A facility running ball pythons and rosy boas, for example, can run NS6090 tubs for adults and NS6045 tubs for hatchlings on a single shared frame — a hallmark of the modular stackable design that defines the NS family.
Why We Expanded the NS6090
The original NS6090 was designed as a slim profile option, and while it served well for smaller species, customer feedback consistently pointed to one issue: when breeders needed more space, they were forced to step up to a different rack system entirely. By expanding the NS6090 footprint while keeping the universal NS frame, we have eliminated that pain point. Breeders can now scale within the NS Series rather than across multiple incompatible product lines.
Compatibility With Existing Stellar Start Equipment
If you already operate Stellar Start NS Series racks, the new NS6090 tubs are fully compatible with your existing 97×61.9cm rack frames. There is no need to buy a new rack — simply order the upgraded tubs and slide them in. Heating plates, lockable caster wheels, and the optional S-Series lighting layer all remain unchanged.
